The Cochise County Comprehensive Plan is a long-range planning document that establishes a vision, goals, and policies for the County’s future growth and development. It guides development pursuant to the present and future needs of the County. Most of the Plan is an outline of the community’s desires for future growth and preservation/conservation. Cochise County’s Comprehensive-Plan-PDF was last adopted in 2015. In Arizona, Comprehensive Plans are effective for up to ten years. Consequently, the County must adopt an updated Plan in 2025. The update process will include input from residents, property owners, stakeholders, and businesses, as well as the Board of Supervisors and the Planning and Zoning Commission. Most significantly, this plan will ensure Cochise County continues to be your ideal place to work, live and play.
